       Senator Detert moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 539 and 540
    4  insert:
    5         Section 8. (1)The Florida Energy and Climate Commission,
    6  in conjunction with the Public Service Commission, shall
    7  complete a feasibility report of feed-in tariffs as a mechanism
    8  for deploying renewable energy in Florida. The report shall
    9  include:
   10         (a) An analysis of the of feed-in tariff policies in the
   11  United States and any local Florida jurisdiction;
   12         (b)How the feed-in tariff model could be applied to all
   13  renewable energy in this state; and
   14         (c) An assessment of the economic benefits to this state of
   15  implementing a feed-in tariff program.
   16         (2) The Florida Energy and Climate Commission shall submit
   17  the report to the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the
   18  House of Representatives, the Secretary of Environmental
   19  Protection, and the Governor by December 1, 2009.
