       The Committee on Environmental Preservation and Conservation
       (Jones) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete line 129
    4  and insert:
    5  not be recovered from the utility’s ratepayers. No electric
    6  utility shall be required to produce or purchase any Class III
    7  clean energy, nor be fined or deemed imprudent for not acquiring
    8  any energy from a Class III clean energy source in order to
    9  achieve the clean energy standards provided herein.
