| 4 | recreational activity licenses include a provision for the |
| 5 | license applicant to make a voluntary contribution to |
| 6 | Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc.; providing for the |
| 7 | distribution and use of funds raised by such |
| 8 | contributions; providing an effective date. |

| 10 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 11 |

| 12 | Section 1. The application for any license for |
| 13 | recreational activities issued under part VI of chapter 379, |
| 14 | Florida Statutes, must include a check-off provision that |
| 15 | permits the applicant for licensure to make a voluntary |
| 16 | contribution of $2. The Fish and Wildlife Conservation |
| 17 | Commission shall retain 90 cents from each contribution to cover |
| 18 | administrative costs. The remainder of each contribution shall |
| 19 | be distributed quarterly by the Fish and Wildlife Conservation |
| 20 | Commission to Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc., located in |
| 21 | Palmetto. Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc., shall use the |
| 22 | contributions to breed, raise, and train guide dogs specifically |
| 23 | for the Paws for Patriots program, including in-residence |
| 24 | training for veterans who are provided guide dogs by |
| 25 | Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc. |
| 26 | Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2009. |
