Section 604.55, Florida Statutes, is created to 8 read: 9 604.55 Structures at Florida State Farmers’ Markets; exemption 10 from building codes.—Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, 11 any structure damaged by a hurricane on the grounds of a Florida 12 State Farmers’ Market is exempt from the Florida Building Code 13 and any county or municipal building codes. For purposes of this 14 section, the term “Florida State Farmers’ Market” means the 15 facilities described in s. 570.07(18)(d). 16 17 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 18 And the title is amended as follows: 19 Delete lines 1 - 30 20 and insert: 21 22 A bill to be entitled 23 An act relating to agriculture; creating s. 570.345, 24 F.S.; enacting the Pest Control Compact; requiring the 25 Commissioner of Agriculture to administer the compact; 26 requiring that an application for assistance under the 27 compact be made by the commissioner; providing 28 findings; providing definitions; providing for the 29 establishment of the Pest Control Insurance Fund to 30 finance pest-control operations under the compact; 31 providing for the fund to be administered by a 32 governing board and executive committee; providing for 33 the internal operations and management of the 34 governing board; requiring an annual report to the 35 governor and legislature of each state participating 36 in the compact; providing for the administration of 37 the fund; providing procedures to apply for 38 expenditures from the fund; providing for a 39 determination regarding expenditures from the fund and 40 for review of such expenditures; authorizing the 41 governing board to establish advisory and technical 42 committees; providing for an application for 43 assistance from the fund on behalf of a nonparty 44 state; providing requirements for the fund regarding 45 budgets and maintaining financial assets; prohibiting 46 a pledge of the assets of a state that is a party to 47 the compact; providing for the compact to enter into 48 force upon its enactment by five or more states; 49 providing a procedure for a state to withdraw from the 50 compact; providing for construction and severability; 51 creating s. 604.55, F.S.; exempting structures damaged 52 by a hurricane at a Florida State Farmers’ Market from 53 state and local building codes; providing an effective 54 date.
