Section 604.55, Florida Statutes, is created to 6 read: 7 604.55 Structures at Florida State Farmers’ Markets; 8 exemption from building codes.—Notwithstanding any law to the 9 contrary, any structure on the grounds of a Florida State 10 Farmers’ Market is exempt from the Florida Building Code and any 11 county or municipal building codes. For purposes of this 12 section, the term “Florida State Farmers’ Market” means the 13 facilities described in s. 570.07(18)(d). 14 15 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 16 And the title is amended as follows: 17 Delete lines 1 - 30 18 and insert: 19 A bill to be entitled 20 An act relating to agriculture; creating s. 570.345, 21 F.S.; enacting the Pest Control Compact; requiring the 22 Commissioner of Agriculture to administer the compact; 23 requiring that an application for assistance under the 24 compact be made by the commissioner; providing 25 findings; providing definitions; providing for the 26 establishment of the Pest Control Insurance Fund to 27 finance pest-control operations under the compact; 28 providing for the fund to be administered by a 29 governing board and executive committee; providing for 30 the internal operations and management of the 31 governing board; requiring an annual report to the 32 governor and legislature of each state participating 33 in the compact; providing for the administration of 34 the fund; providing procedures to apply for 35 expenditures from the fund; providing for a 36 determination regarding expenditures from the fund and 37 for review of such expenditures; authorizing the 38 governing board to establish advisory and technical 39 committees; providing for an application for 40 assistance from the fund on behalf of a nonparty 41 state; providing requirements for the fund regarding 42 budgets and maintaining financial assets; prohibiting 43 a pledge of the assets of a state that is a party to 44 the compact; providing for the compact to enter into 45 force upon its enactment by five or more states; 46 providing a procedure for a state to withdraw from the 47 compact; providing for construction and severability; 48 creating s. 604.55, F.S.; exempting structures at a 49 Florida State Farmers’ Market from state and local 50 building codes; providing an effective date.
