       Senator Bennett moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 66 - 71
    4  and insert:
    5         (3) Upon the request of any multicounty independent special
    6  district, the department may assign the responsibilities and
    7  functions specified in this section to such district, which is
    8  created by the Legislature to perform multiple functions,
    9  including, but not limited to, municipal services and
   10  improvements, to the same extent and under the same conditions
   11  as provided in subsections (1) and (2).
