    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to enterprise zones; creating s.
    3         290.0078, F.S.; authorizing the City of Lake Worth to
    4         apply to the Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
    5         Development for designation of one enterprise zone;
    6         providing an application deadline; requiring that the
    7         office establish the initial effective date of the
    8         enterprise zone; providing an effective date.

   10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   11         
   12         Section 1. Section 290.0078, Florida Statutes, is created
   13  to read:
   14         290.0078 Enterprise zone designation for the City of Lake
   15  Worth.—The City of Lake Worth may apply to the Office of
   16  Tourism, Trade, and Economic Development for designation of one
   17  enterprise zone. The application must be submitted by December
   18  31, 2010, and must comply with the requirements of s. 290.0055.
   19  Notwithstanding s. 290.0065, limiting the total number of
   20  enterprise zones designated and the number of enterprise zones
   21  within a population category, the Office of Tourism, Trade, and
   22  Economic Development may designate one enterprise zone under
   23  this section. The Office of Tourism, Trade, and Economic
   24  Development shall establish the initial effective date of the
   25  enterprise zone designated pursuant to this section.
   26         Section 2. This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
