       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Deutch) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (183722) 
    2         
    3         Delete lines 42 - 46
    4  and insert:
    5  sanctioning authority conducted a screening of the sports coach
    6  by participating in the Volunteer and Employee Criminal History
    7  System and made a reasonable effort to contact references.
    8         (b) Negligent hiring of the sports coach if the sanctioning
    9  authority did not conduct a screening of the sports coach by
   10  participating in the Volunteer and Employee Criminal History
   11  System of the Department of Law Enforcement and make a
   12  reasonable effort to contact references.
