       The Committee on Regulated Industries (Jones) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 34 - 39
    4  and insert:
    5  
    6         (7) In addition to meeting any other requirements for
    7  licensure by examination or by endorsement, an applicant may be
    8  required by a board, or by the department, if there is no board,
    9  to pass an examination pertaining to state laws and rules
   10  applicable to the practice of the profession regulated by that
   11  board or by the department. This subsection does not apply to
   12  persons regulated under chapter 473.
