Section 631.65, Florida Statutes, is amended to 7 read: 8 631.65 Prohibited advertisement or solicitation.—No person 9 shall make, publish, disseminate, circulate, or place before the 10 public, or cause, directly or indirectly, to be made, published, 11 disseminated, circulated, or placed before the public, in a 12 newspaper, magazine, or other publication, or in the form of a 13 notice, circular, pamphlet, letter, or poster, or over any radio 14 station or television station, or in any other way, any 15 advertisement, announcement, or statement which uses the 16 existence of the insurance guaranty association for the purpose 17 of sales, solicitation, or inducement to purchase any form of 18 insurance covered under this part. However, this section does 19 not prohibit a duly licensed insurance agent from explaining the 20 existence or function of the insurance guaranty association to 21 policyholders, prospects, or applicants for coverage. 22 23 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 24 And the title is amended as follows: 25 Delete lines 95 - 98 26 and insert: 27 authorizing the commission to adopt rules; amending s. 631.65, 28 F.S.; providing that an insurance agent is not prohibited from 29 explaining the existence or function of the insurance guaranty 30 association; providing for the 31
