Subsection (6) of section 395.003, Florida 6 Statutes, is amended to read: 7 395.003 Licensure; denial, suspension, and revocation.— 8 (6) ANospecialty hospital may notshallprovide any 9 service or regularly serve any population group beyond those 10 services or groups specified in its license. A specialty 11 licensed children’s hospital that is authorized to provide 12 pediatric cardiac catheterization and pediatric open heart 13 surgery services may provide cardiovascular service to adults 14 who, as children, were previously served by the hospital for 15 congenital heart disease, or to those patients who are referred 16 for a specialized procedure only for congenital heart disease by 17 an adult hospital, without obtaining additional licensure as a 18 provider of adult cardiovascular services. The agency may 19 request documentation as needed to support patient selection and 20 treatment.
