       Senator Peaden moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Substitute for Amendment (814620) (with title
    2  amendment)

    4         Between lines 401 and 402
    5  insert:
    6         Section 4. Subsection (6) of section 395.003, Florida
    7  Statutes, is amended to read:
    8         395.003 Licensure; denial, suspension, and revocation.—
    9         (6) A No specialty hospital may not shall provide any
   10  service or regularly serve any population group beyond those
   11  services or groups specified in its license. A specialty
   12  licensed children’s hospital, which is authorized to provide
   13  pediatric cardiac catheterization and pediatric open heart
   14  surgery services, may provide cardiovascular service to adults
   15  previously served by the hospital as children for congenital
   16  heart disease, or those patients referred for a specialized
   17  procedure only for congenital heart disease by an adult hospital
   18  without obtaining additional licensure as a provider of adult
   19  cardiovascular services. The agency may request documentation as
   20  needed to support patient selection and treatment. This section
   21  does not apply to a specialty-licensed children’s hospital
   22  already licensed to provide adult cardiovascular services.

   32         licensure as a provider of adult cardiology services;
