       The Committee on Judiciary (Ring) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (690702) 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 62 - 64
    4  and insert:
    5  fee payable under this subsection may be increased up to the fee
    6  paid by the employer or carrier to the employer’s or carrier’s
    7  attorneys if it is determined that the employer or carrier
    8  engaged in a bad faith denial of benefits, unreasonably delayed
    9  furnishing benefits that were due and owing, or unreasonably
   10  continued or increased the expense of litigation.
