Florida Senate - 2009 CS for SB 2150 By the Committee on Environmental Preservation and Conservation; and Senator Bennett 592-03359-09 20092150c1 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to the Fish and Wildlife Conservation 3 Commission; requiring that applications for all 4 recreational activity licenses include a provision for 5 the license applicant to make a voluntary contribution 6 to Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc.; providing for the 7 use of funds raised by such contributions; providing 8 an effective date. 9 10 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 11 12 Section 1. The application for any license for recreational 13 activities issued under part VI of chapter 379, Florida 14 Statutes, must include a check-off provision that permits the 15 applicant for licensure to make a voluntary contribution of $2, 16 which shall be distributed quarterly by the Fish and Wildlife 17 Conservation Commission to Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc., 18 located in Palmetto. Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc., shall use 19 the contributions to breed, raise, and train guide dogs for the 20 blind, including in-residence training for persons who are 21 provided guide dogs by Southeastern Guide Dogs, Inc. 22 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2009.
