Senator Ring moved the following:
1 Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)

3 Between lines 1714 and 1715
4 insert:
5 (2) Enterprise Florida, Inc., shall establish a separate
6 small business technology growth account in the Florida
7 Technology Research Investment Fund for purposes of this
8 section. Moneys in the account shall consist of appropriations
9 by the Legislature, proceeds of any collateral used to secure
10 such assistance, transfers, fees assessed for providing or
11 processing such financial assistance, grants, interest earning,
12 and earnings on financial assistance. Enterprise Florida, Inc.,
13 may advance from the account up to $600,000 in the aggregate to
14 the Institute for Commercialization of Public Research for its
15 operations. Subject to the authority and limitations in
16 subsections (3) and (4), Enterprise Florida, Inc., may grant
17 awards of assistance to companies under the auspices of the
18 institute seeking to implement commercial technologies pursuant
19 to the institute’s programs.
