       The Committee on Health Regulation (Lawson) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete everything after the enacting clause
    4  and insert:
    5         Section 1. The Office of Program Policy Analysis and
    6  Government Accountability shall complete a study to determine if
    7  the approval process used by the Board of Nursing pursuant to
    8  section 464.019, Florida Statutes, is useful and leads to a
    9  qualified nursing workforce in the State of Florida.The
   10  findings of the study shall be reported to the Legislature no
   11  later than January 1, 2010.
   12         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2009.

   14         And the title is amended as follows:
   15         Delete everything before the enacting clause
   16  and insert:
   17                        A bill to be entitled                      
   18  An act relating to nursing programs; requiring the Office of
   19  Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability to
   20  complete a study on nursing education; requiring the study to be
   21  reported back to Legislature; providing an effective date.
