       Senator Aronberg moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (644696) (with title
    2  amendment)
    3  
    4         Between lines 358 and 359
    5  insert:
    6         Section 4. Subsection (2) of section 320.13, Florida
    7  Statutes, is amended to read:
    8         320.13 Dealer and manufacturer license plates and
    9  alternative method of registration.—
   10         (2) A licensed manufacturer, importer, or distributor of
   11  motor vehicles may, upon payment of the license tax imposed by
   12  s. 320.08(12), secure one or more manufacturer license plates,
   13  which are valid for use on motor vehicles owned by the
   14  manufacturer, importer, or distributor to whom such plates are
   15  issued while the motor vehicles are in inventory and for sale,
   16  being operated for demonstration purposes, or in connection with
   17  such manufacturer’s, importer’s, or distributor’s business, but
   18  are not valid for use for hire.

   21         And the title is amended as follows:
   22         Delete line 383
   23  and insert:
   24         distribution of such contributions; amending s.
   25         320.13, F.S.; authorizing licensed importers and
   26         distributors of motor vehicles to secure certain
   27         manufacturer license plates under certain conditions;
   28         providing an effective date.
