       Senator Aronberg moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)

    3         Between lines 607 and 608
    4  insert:
    5         Section 8. Subsection (2) of section 320.13, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         320.13 Dealer and manufacturer license plates and
    8  alternative method of registration.—
    9         (2) A licensed manufacturer, importer, or distributor of
   10  motor vehicles may, upon payment of the license tax imposed by
   11  s. 320.08(12), secure one or more manufacturer license plates,
   12  which are valid for use on motor vehicles owned by the
   13  manufacturer, importer, or distributor to whom such plates are
   14  issued while the motor vehicles are in inventory and for sale,
   15  being operated for demonstration purposes, or in connection with
   16  such manufacturer’s, importer’s, or distributor’s business, but
   17  are not valid for use for hire.

   20         And the title is amended as follows:
   21         Delete line 32
   22  and insert:
   23         such plates; amending s. 320.13, F.S.; authorizing
   24         licensed importers and distributors of motor vehicles
   25         to secure certain manufacturer license plates under
   26         certain conditions; providing an effective date.
