House Comm: RE . 04/21/2009 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means (Deutch) recommended the following: 1 Senate Substitute for Amendment (249710) (with title 2 amendment) 3 4 Delete lines 40 - 43 5 and insert: 6 importation, or administration of any human vaccine used for 7 children under age 4 or a woman the physician knows to be 8 pregnant which contains any organic or inorganic mercury 9 compound in excess of 0.1 microgram per milliliter, except: 10 (a) If the Governor declares a state of emergency, the 11 Governor may, by executive order, waive this provision of law 12 and permit mercury-containing vaccines as needed. 13 (b) If a child or pregnant woman can only receive a vaccine 14 for which there is not a mercury-free alternative of 0.1 15 microgram per milliliter or less approved by the Food and Drug 16 Administration, this provision of law may be exempted until such 17 time as a mercury-free alternative becomes available. 18 19 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 20 And the title is amended as follows: 21 Delete lines 4 - 5 22 and insert: 23 manufacture, delivery, importation, and administration 24 of certain vaccines containing 25 26 Delete line 7 27 and insert: 28 certain amount; providing exceptions; amending s. 29 1003.22, F.S.; revising
