House Comm: RE . 04/21/2009 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means (Deutch) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment to Amendment (107900) (with title 2 amendment) 3 4 Delete lines 4 - 17 5 and insert: 6 Delete lines 39-43 7 and insert: 8 (30) The administration of any human vaccine used for 9 children under age 4 or a woman the physician knows to be 10 pregnant which contains any organic or inorganic mercury 11 compound in excess of 0.1 microgram per milliliter, except: 12 (a) If the Governor declares a state of emergency, the 13 Governor may, by executive order, waive this provision of law 14 and permit mercury-containing vaccines as needed. 15 (b) If a child or pregnant woman can only receive a vaccine 16 for which there is not a mercury-free alternative of 0.1 17 microgram per milliliter or less approved by the Food and Drug 18 Administration, this provision of law may be exempted until such 19 time as a mercury-free alternative becomes available. 20 21 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 22 And the title is amended as follows: 23 Delete lines 21 - 29 24 and insert: 25 Delete lines 3-7 26 and insert: 27 499.005, F.S.; prohibiting the administration of 28 certain vaccines containing organic or inorganic 29 mercury compounds in excess of a certain amount; 30 providing exceptions; amending s. 1003.22, F.S.; 31 revising
