Paragraphs (f), (g), and (h) are added to subsection 6 (2) of section 1013.62, Florida Statutes, to read: 7 1013.62 Charter schools capital outlay funding.— 8 (2) A charter school’s governing body may use charter 9 school capital outlay funds for the following purposes: 10 (f) Effective July 1, 2008, purchase, lease-purchase, or 11 lease of new and replacement equipment, and enterprise resource 12 software applications that are classified as capital assets in 13 accordance with definitions of the Governmental Accounting 14 Standards Board, have a useful life of at least 5 years, and are 15 used to support schoolwide administration or state-mandated 16 reporting requirements. 17 (g) Payment of the cost of premiums for property and 18 casualty insurance necessary to insure the school facilities. 19 (h) Purchase, lease-purchase, or lease of driver’s 20 education vehicles; motor vehicles used for the maintenance or 21 operation of plants and equipment; security vehicles; or 22 vehicles used in storing or distributing materials and 23 equipment. 24 25 Conversion charter schools may use capital outlay funds received 26 through the reduction in the administrative fee provided in s. 27 1002.33(20) for renovation, repair, and maintenance of school 28 facilities that are owned by the sponsor. 29 30 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 31 And the title is amended as follows: 32 Delete line 35 33 and insert: 34 the Florida School Recognition Program; amending s. 35 1013.62, F.S.; revising provisions authorizing a 36 charter school’s governing body to use charter school 37 capital outlay funds for certain purposes; providing 38 an
