       The Committee on Health and Human Services Appropriations
       (Peaden) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 477 - 484
    4  and insert:
    5  state fiscal year. A school or college of medicine that is
    6  represented on the council is not eligible to receive a contract
    7  or grant under this section. For the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009
    8  fiscal years only, The department shall award a contract or
    9  grant in the amount of $11 $10 million to the AHEC network for
   10  the purpose of developing the components described in paragraph
   11  (3)(i). The AHEC network may apply for a competitive contract or
   12  grant after the 2008-2009 fiscal year.
