       The Committee on Criminal and Civil Justice Appropriations
       (Jones) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         After line 427
    4  insert:
    5  If the individual does not have a TWIC and a federal criminal
    6  history record check is required, the Department of Law
    7  Enforcement may forward the fingerprints to the Federal Bureau
    8  of Investigation for a national criminal history record check.
    9  The cost of the national check must be paid by the seaport which
   10  may collect it as reimbursement from the individual.
