    2         A resolution honoring Florida Blue Key.
    3  
    4         WHEREAS, March 31, 2009, “Florida Blue Key Day,” is an
    5  appropriate time for the Senate of the State of Florida to
    6  recognize and salute Florida Blue Key, the premier leadership
    7  honorary at the University of Florida, and
    8         WHEREAS, Florida Blue Key annually hosts its Legislative
    9  Day, which brings talented students involved in Florida Blue Key
   10  and Student Government and interested in public service to the
   11  Florida Capitol to interact with Gator Alumni who are
   12  influential and successful in the Florida Legislature, and
   13         WHEREAS, the impact that Florida Blue Key has on the
   14  encouragement of political activism and awareness at the
   15  University of Florida and entry into public service is immense,
   16  and
   17         WHEREAS, it is important to recognize Florida Blue Key and
   18  its continued involvement with the Florida Legislature, and
   19         WHEREAS, Florida Blue Key Legislative Day is vital in the
   20  pursuit of knowledge of political affairs at the University of
   21  Florida, NOW, THEREFORE,

   23  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

   25         That the Florida Senate welcomes the University of
   26  Florida’s Florida Blue Key Legislative Day participants to the
   27  Florida Capital.
