    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to electric utilities; requiring that
    3         an electric utility provide on-demand rates to a
    4         single-entity farm that has multiple meters and
    5         produces food, fiber, or timber; requiring that the
    6         electric utility provide for conjunctive billing;
    7         prohibiting the electric utility from imposing a
    8         customer service charge for each of the farm's meters;
    9         providing an effective date.

   11  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   12         
   13         Section 1. An electric utility shall provide on-demand
   14  rates to a single-entity farm that has multiple separate meters
   15  and produces food, fiber, or timber. The electric utility shall
   16  also provide for conjunctive billing and may not impose a
   17  separate customer service charge for each of the farm's meters.
   18         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2009.
