       The Committee on Criminal Justice (Siplin) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment 
    2  
    3         Delete lines 38 - 43
    4  and insert:
    5         (c) “Law enforcement explorer” means any person who is a
    6  current member of a law enforcement agency’s explorer program
    7  and who is performing functions other than those required to be
    8  performed by a sworn law enforcement officer on behalf of a law
    9  enforcement agency while under the direct physical supervision
   10  of a sworn officer of that agency and wearing a uniform that
   11  bears at least one patch that clearly identifies the law
   12  enforcement agency that he or she represents.
