4 | Between lines 34 and 35, insert: |
5 | Section 3. (1) Upon completion of the project to develop |
6 | passive strategies for nitrogen reduction that complement use of |
7 | conventional onsite wastewater treatment systems as provided in |
8 | Specific Appropriation 1682 of the 2008-2009 General |
9 | Appropriations Act, the Department of Health shall submit a |
10 | final report to the Executive Office of the Governor, the |
11 | President of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of |
12 | Representatives. |
13 | (2) Notwithstanding s. 369.318(2), Florida Statutes, the |
14 | Department of Health shall suspend rulemaking to achieve |
15 | nitrogen reductions protective of groundwater quality within the |
16 | Wekiva Study Area until completion of the project described in |
17 | subsection (1). Upon adjournment sine die of the next regular |
18 | session of the Legislature that begins after the Department of |
19 | Health submits the project's final report, the department shall |
20 | resume rulemaking to achieve nitrogen reductions protective of |
21 | groundwater quality within the Wekiva Study Area. |
