3     Amendment (with title amendment)
4     Remove lines 15-60 and insert:
5     111.076  Reporting of immigration status
6information.--Notwithstanding any other provision of law, an
7agency, as defined in s. 20.03, including, but not limited to,
8the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the
9Department of Business and Professional Regulation, and any
10person or entity contracting with such an agency, including, but
11not limited to, those in agribusiness, construction, and
12hospitality, may not prohibit or in any way restrict a public
13employee from doing any of the following with respect to
14information regarding the immigration status of any individual:
15     (1)  Sending such information to, or requesting or
16receiving such information from, the United States Department of
17Homeland Security;
18     (2)  Maintaining such information; or
19     (3)  Exchanging such information with any other federal,
20state, or local governmental entity.
21     Section 2.  Section 125.582, Florida Statutes, is created
22to read:
23     125.582  Communicating or cooperating with federal
24officials concerning immigration.--
25     (1)  A county government, whether acting through its
26governing body or by an initiative, referendum, or any other
27process, may not enact any ordinance or policy that limits or
28prohibits a law enforcement officer, local official, or local
29government employee or any person or entity contracting with
30such a government, including, but not limited to, those in
31agribusiness, construction, and hospitality, from communicating
32or cooperating with federal officials with regard to the
33immigration status of any person within this state.
34     (2)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a county
35governmental entity or official may not prohibit or in any way
36restrict any governmental entity or government official from
37sending to, or receiving from, the United States Department of
38Homeland Security information regarding the citizenship or
39immigration status of any individual.
40     Section 3.  Section 166.04935, Florida Statutes, is created
41to read:
42     166.04935  Communicating or cooperating with federal
43officials concerning immigration.--
44     (1)  A municipal government, whether acting through its
45governing body or by an initiative, referendum, or any other
46process, may not enact any ordinance or policy that limits or
47prohibits a law enforcement officer, local official, or local
48government employee or any person or entity contracting with
49such a government, including, but not limited to, those in
50agribusiness, construction, and hospitality, from communicating
51or cooperating with federal officials with regard to the
52immigration status of any person within this state.
