| 10 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
| 11 |

| 12 | Section 1. Effective October 1, 2011, chapter 2001-325, |
| 13 | Laws of Florida, is repealed, and the Pinellas Park Water |
| 14 | Management District is abolished. |
| 15 | Section 2. Upon dissolution of the district, |
| 16 | responsibility for maintaining the drainage system shall be |
| 17 | transferred to the Town of Kenneth City, the City of Pinellas |
| 18 | Park, the City of St. Petersburg, and Pinellas County. Each |
| 19 | entity shall be responsible for maintaining the drainage |
| 20 | infrastructure within its geographic boundaries, or according to |
| 21 | an interlocal agreement that may be created for this purpose. |
| 22 | Section 3. Upon dissolution of the district, any district |
| 23 | assets and liabilities shall be divided among the Town of |
| 24 | Kenneth City, the City of Pinellas Park, the City of St. |
| 25 | Petersburg, and Pinellas County according to their current |
| 26 | proportion in the district or according to an interlocal |
| 27 | agreement that may be created for this purpose. |
| 28 | Section 4. Except as otherwise expressly provided in this |
| 29 | act, this act shall take effect only upon its approval by a |
| 30 | majority vote of the electors of the Pinellas Park Water |
| 31 | Management District voting in a referendum election to be held |
| 32 | at the next regular primary or general election or at a special |
| 33 | election called by the Board of County Commissioners and the |
| 34 | City Council of Pinellas Park, except that this section shall |
| 35 | take effect upon becoming a law. |
