       The Committee on Health Regulation (Aronberg) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Delete lines 55 - 56
    4  and insert:
    5         (2)By March 1, 2011, the department shall adopt an
    6  electronic monitoring system. If, after complying with the
    7  requirements of ss. 287.0571-287.0574, the department determines
    8  that it is cost-effective to contract for any system components
    9  or services, the department must issue a competitive
   10  solicitation for those components or services, notwithstanding
   11  s. 287.057(5)(f). The department may not award a contract for
   12  any components or services related to biometrics unless it
   13  receives a minimum of three responses to its competitive
   14  solicitation for such components or services. The purpose of the
   15  electronic monitoring system is to monitor the collection of

   19         Delete line 5
   20  and insert:
   21         Health to issue a competitive procurement for the
   22         adoption of a comprehensive electronic system
