       The Committee on Governmental Oversight and Accountability
       (Jones) recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 54 and 55
    4  insert:
    5         Section 4. The Office of Program Policy Analysis and
    6  Government Accountability shall perform a study and make
    7  recommendations to the Legislature by December 1, 2009,
    8  regarding the enactment of laws to provide for protection and
    9  remedies from existing and unregulated online poker activities,
   10  which currently lack oversight and consumer protection under s.
   11  849.086, Florida Statutes.

   14         And the title is amended as follows:
   15         Delete line 16
   16  and insert:
   17         repeal of the program; requiring that the Office of
   18         Program Policy Analysis and Government Accountability
   19         perform a study and make certain recommendations to
   20         the Legislature by a specified date regarding the
   21         enactment of laws to provide for protection and
   22         remedies from certain online poker activities;
   23         providing an effective date.
