10 | editorial changes; repealing s. 2, ch. 2004-32, Laws of |
11 | Florida, which provides for repeal of the exemption; |
12 | providing an effective date. |

14 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |
15 |

16 | Section 1. Paragraph (c) of subsection (5) of section |
17 | 119.071, Florida Statutes, is amended to read: |
18 | 119.071 General exemptions from inspection or copying of |
19 | public records.-- |
20 | (5) OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION.-- |
21 | (c)1. For purposes of this paragraph, the term: |
22 | a. "Child" means any person younger than 18 years of age. |
23 | b. "Government-sponsored recreation program" means a |
24 | program for which an agency assumes responsibility for a child |
25 | participating in that program, including, but not limited to, |
26 | after-school programs, athletic programs, nature programs, |
27 | summer camps, or other recreational programs. |
28 | 2. Any Information that would identify or help to locate a |
29 | child who participates in a government-sponsored recreation |
30 | program programs or camps or the parents or guardians of such |
31 | child, including, but not limited to, the name, home address, |
32 | telephone number, social security number, or photograph of the |
33 | child; the names and locations of schools attended by such |
34 | child; and the names, home addresses, and social security |
35 | numbers of parents or guardians of such child is exempt from s. |
36 | 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I of the State Constitution. |
37 | 3. Information that would identify or locate a parent or |
38 | guardian of a child who participates in a government-sponsored |
39 | recreation program is exempt from s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), |
40 | Art. I of the State Constitution. |
41 | 4. Information made exempt pursuant to this paragraph may |
42 | be disclosed by court order upon a showing of good cause. |
43 | 5. This exemption applies to records held before, on, or |
44 | after the effective date of this exemption. |
45 | Section 2. Section 2 of chapter 2004-32, Laws of Florida, |
46 | is repealed. |
47 | Section 3. This act shall take effect October 1, 2009. |
