10 | researcher under contract with such entity; making |
11 | editorial changes; removing the scheduled repeal of the |
12 | exemption; providing an effective date. |

14 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

16 | Section 1. Subsection (11) of section 125.901, Florida |
17 | Statutes, is amended to read: |
18 | 125.901 Children's services; independent special district; |
19 | council; powers, duties, and functions; public records |
20 | exemption.-- |
21 | (11)(a) Personal identifying information of a child or the |
22 | child's parent or guardian of the child, held by a council on |
23 | children's services service council, juvenile welfare board, or |
24 | other similar entity created under this section or by special |
25 | law, or held by a service provider or researcher under contract |
26 | with such entity, is exempt from s. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. |
27 | I of the State Constitution. This exemption applies to such |
28 | personal identifying information held before, on, before, or |
29 | after the effective date of this exemption. |
30 | (b) This subsection is subject to the Open Government |
31 | Sunset Review Act in accordance with s. 119.15, and shall stand |
32 | repealed on October 2, 2009, unless reviewed and saved from |
33 | repeal through reenactment by the Legislature. |
34 | Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2009. |
