    2         An act relating to special districts; creating s.
    3         189.4221, F.S.; authorizing special districts to
    4         purchase commodities and contractual services from
    5         purchasing agreements of other special districts,
    6         municipalities, or counties; providing an effective
    7         date.

    9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   10  
   11         Section 1. Section 189.4221, Florida Statutes, is created
   12  to read:
   13         189.4221 Purchases from purchasing agreements of special
   14  districts, municipalities, or counties.—Special districts may
   15  purchase commodities and contractual services, other than
   16  services the acquisition of which is governed by s. 287.055,
   17  from the purchasing agreements of other special districts,
   18  municipalities, or counties which have been procured pursuant to
   19  competitive bid, requests for proposals, requests for
   20  qualifications, competitive selection, or competitive
   21  negotiations, and which are other otherwise in compliance with
   22  general law if the purchasing agreement of the other special
   23  district, municipality, or county was procured by a process that
   24  would have met the procurement requirements of the purchasing
   25  special district.
   26         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2009.
