       Senator Jones moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment

    3         Delete lines 359 - 374
    4  and insert:
    5  election is required. Except in a timeshare condominium, the
    6  terms of all members of the board shall expire at the annual
    7  meeting and such board members may stand for reelection unless
    8  otherwise permitted by the bylaws. In the event that the bylaws
    9  permit staggered terms of no more than 2 years and upon approval
   10  of a majority of the total voting interests, the association
   11  board members may serve 2-year staggered terms. If the number no
   12  person is interested in or demonstrates an intention to run for
   13  the position of a board members member whose terms have term has
   14  expired according to the provisions of this subparagraph exceeds
   15  the number of eligible members showing interest in or
   16  demonstrating an intention to run for the vacant positions, each
   17  such board member whose term has expired shall become eligible
   18  for reappointment be automatically reappointed to the board of
   19  administration and need not stand for reelection. In a
