Section 458.3312, Florida Statutes, is amended 7 to read: 8 458.3312 Specialties.—A physician licensed under this 9 chapter may not hold himself or herself out as a board-certified 10 specialist unless the physician has received formal recognition 11 as a specialist from a specialty board of the American Board of 12 Medical Specialties or other recognizing agency that has been 13 approved by the board, subject to triennial board review of such 14 approval and reauthorization by the board. However, a physician 15 may indicate the services offered and may state that his or her 16 practice is limited to one or more types of services when this 17 accurately reflects the scope of practice of the physician. A 18 physician may not hold himself or herself out as a board 19 certified specialist in dermatology unless the recognizing 20 agency, whether authorized in statute or by rule, is triennially 21 reviewed and reauthorized by the Board of Medicine. 22 23 ================= T I T L E A M E N D M E N T ================ 24 And the title is amended as follows: 25 Delete line 2 26 and insert: 27 An act relating to physician practice; amending s. 28 458.3312, F.S.; requiring that the Board of Medicine 29 review and authorize a recognizing agency’s ability to 30 certify a physician as a board-certified specialist in 31 dermatology;
