House Comm: RCS . 04/14/2009 . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— The Policy and Steering Committee on Ways and Means (Haridopolos) recommended the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 2838 - 2875 4 and insert: 5 Section 51. (1)(a) For the 2009-2010 fiscal year, 51 full 6 time equivalent positions and 2,150,146 in associated salary 7 rate are authorized, and the sums of $2,269,319 in recurring 8 funds and $893,689 in nonrecurring funds are appropriated from 9 the Pari-mutuel Wagering Trust Fund of the Department of 10 Business and Professional Regulation for the purpose of carrying 11 out all regulatory activities provided in this act. The 12 Executive Office of the Governor shall place these positions, 13 associated rate, and funds in reserve until the Executive Office 14 of the Governor has approved an expenditure plan and a budget 15 amendment submitted by the Department of Business and 16 Professional Regulation recommending the transfer of such funds 17 to traditional appropriation categories. Any action proposed 18 pursuant to this paragraph is subject to the procedures set 19 forth in s. 216.177, Florida Statutes. 20 (b) For the 2009-2010 fiscal year, the sum of $2,777,606 in 21 recurring funds is appropriated from the Pari-mutuel Wagering 22 Trust Fund of the Department of Business and Professional 23 Regulation for transfer to the Operating Trust Fund of the 24 Department of Law Enforcement for the purpose of investigations, 25 intelligence gathering, background investigations, and any other 26 responsibilities as provided in this act. 27 (2) For the 2009-2010 fiscal year, 39 full-time equivalent 28 positions and 1,700,939 in associated salary rate are 29 authorized, and the sum of $2,777,606 in recurring funds is 30 appropriated from the Operating Trust Fund of the Department of 31 Law Enforcement for the purpose of investigations, intelligence 32 gathering, background investigations, and any other 33 responsibilities as provided by this act. The Executive Office 34 of the Governor shall place these positions, associated rate, 35 and funds in reserve until the Executive Office of the Governor 36 has approved an expenditure plan and a budget amendment 37 submitted by the Department of Law Enforcement recommending the 38 transfer of such funds to traditional appropriation categories. 39 Any action proposed pursuant to this subsection is subject to 40 the procedures set forth in s. 216.177, Florida Statutes.
