       Senator Deutch moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 2704 and 2705
    4  insert:
    5         Section 48. Subsection (8) of section 849.0931, Florida
    6  Statutes, are amended to read:
    7         849.0931 Bingo authorized; conditions for conduct;
    8  permitted uses of proceeds; limitations.—
    9         (8)(a) Each person involved in the conduct of any bingo
   10  game or instant bingo must be a resident of the community where
   11  the organization is located and a bona fide member of the
   12  organization sponsoring such game and may not be compensated in
   13  any way for operation of such game. When bingo games or instant
   14  bingo is conducted by a charitable, nonprofit, or veterans’
   15  organization, the organization conducting the games must
   16  designate up to three members of that organization to be in
   17  charge of the games, one of whom shall be present during the
   18  entire session at which the games are conducted. The
   19  organization conducting the games is responsible for posting a
   20  notice, which notice states the name of the organization and the
   21  designated member or members, in a conspicuous place on the
   22  premises at which the session is held or instant bingo is
   23  played. A caller in a bingo game may not be a participant in
   24  that bingo game.
   25         (b) A person who has been convicted of any gambling or
   26  gambling-related offense, as proscribed in chapter 849, or any
   27  felony offense may not participate in the administration of, or
   28  receive a financial benefit, gratuity, or compensation from any
   29  bingo game or instant bingo game for a period of 10 years after
   30  completion of any related sentence imposed on that person. This
   31  paragraph applies regardless of whether adjudication was
   32  withheld. A person who violates this paragraph commits a second
   33  degree misdemeanor, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s.

   41         prohibiting persons who have been sentenced for

   44         or from receiving a financial benefit from any bingo
   45         game or instant bingo game; amending s. 849.15, F.S.;
