1	House Resolution
2	A resolution commemorating July 10, 2009, to celebrate the
3	50th Anniversary of the Florida Society of Association
4	Executives (FSAE) and the 25th Anniversary of the Florida
5	Society of Association Executives' Foundation.

7	WHEREAS, FSAE's first Annual Meeting was on November 16,
8	1959, and the FSAE Foundation's Articles of Incorporation were
9	approved on December 7, 1984, and
10	WHEREAS, FSAE is the gateway to the association market in
11	the State of Florida, with more than 800 executive and associate
12	members, including those who manage trade and professional
13	associations, individual membership societies, charitable
14	organizations, and other not-for-profit organizations, and
15	WHEREAS, FSAE and its foundation provide education,
16	training, research, and certification for its members to further
17	their professional development and to advance the association
18	management industry, and
19	WHEREAS, FSAE brings together groups of people who find
20	strength in numbers in sharing common interests of industries,
21	professions, charities, hobbies, or philanthropic action, and
22	WHEREAS, the estimate of the direct economic value of
23	FSAE's members to the State of Florida is over $1.7 billion each
24	year, including payroll, rent and mortgage expenses,
25	transportation, printing, office supplies, postage, lodging and
26	facility accommodations, and educational programs, and
27	WHEREAS, in 2008, association staff and members donated
28	more than 18 million hours of service to their associations and
29	communities each year, NOW, THEREFORE,

31	Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
32	Florida:

34	That July 10, 2009, commemorates the 50th anniversary of
35	the Florida Society of Association Executives (FSAE) and the
36	25th anniversary of the Florida Society of Association
37	Executives' Foundation.
38	BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
39	presented to the FSAE Foundation as a tangible token of the
40	sentiments expressed herein.
