       The Committee on Health Regulation (Altman) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 175 and 176
    4  insert:
    5         Section 2. Subsection (1) of section 627.4239, Florida
    6  Statutes, is amended to read:
    7         627.4239 Coverage for use of drugs in treatment of cancer.—
    8         (1) DEFINITIONS.—As used in this section, the term:
    9         (a) “Medical literature” means scientific studies published
   10  in a United States peer-reviewed national professional journal.
   11         (b) “Standard reference compendium” means authoritative
   12  compendia as identified by the United States Secretary of Health
   13  and Human Services and recognized by the Centers for Medicare
   14  and Medicaid Services:
   15         1. The United States Pharmacopeia Drug Information;
   16         2. The American Medical Association Drug Evaluations; or
   17         3. The American Hospital Formulary Service Drug
