       The Committee on Education Pre-K - 12 Appropriations (Wise)
       recommended the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2         
    3         Between lines 502 and 503
    4  insert:
    5         Section 14. Notwithstanding the provisions of s. 1001.395,
    6  Florida Statutes, between February 1 through June 30, 2009, the
    7  salary of each member of each district school board shall be
    8  reduced by 5 percent.
    9

   11         And the title is amended as follows:
   12         Delete line 53
   13  and insert:
   14  conforming provisions; providing for a reduction in salary of
   15  district school board members for a specified period,
   16  notwithstanding certain provisions; requiring that the Merit
