A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to Hillsborough County; authorizing the
3Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco of the
4Department of Business and Professional Regulation to
5issue an alcoholic beverage license to the Children's
6Museum of Tampa, Inc., to use within the museum's building
7and on its grounds; providing that the license may be used
8only for special events; providing for payment of the
9license fee; providing for sale of beverages for
10consumption within the museum's building and on its
11grounds; prohibiting sales for consumption off premises;
12authorizing transfer and providing for subsequent
13reversion of the license under certain circumstances;
14providing an effective date.

16Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

18     Section 1.  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the
19Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco of the Department of
20Business and Professional Regulation is authorized, upon
21application, to issue an alcoholic beverage license in
22accordance with section 561.17, Florida Statutes, to the
23Children's Museum of Tampa, Inc., (the "museum"), 110 W.
24Gasparilla Plaza, Tampa, a not-for-profit corporation, for use
25within the building known as the Children's Museum of Tampa,
26Inc., and on its adjoining grounds. The museum shall pay the
27applicable license fee provided in section 565.02, Florida
28Statutes. The license may be used only for special events.
29     Section 2.  Alcoholic beverages may be sold by the licensee
30for consumption within the building and on the grounds of the
31museum. The license issued pursuant to this act does not permit
32the sale of alcoholic beverages in sealed containers for
33consumption outside the building and its grounds.
34     Section 3.  The museum may transfer the license from time
35to time to qualified applicants who are either authorized by or
36under contract with the museum to provide food services at the
37museum. Upon termination of a transferee's authorization or
38contract, the license automatically reverts by operation of law
39to the museum.
40     Section 4.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a law.
