    1                        A bill to be entitled                      
    2         An act relating to electric utilities; creating s.
    3         366.082, F.S.; requiring electric utilities to
    4         annually report to the Public Service Commission the
    5         name, title, and salary of each executive officer
    6         receiving a salary above a certain amount; defining
    7         the term “executive officer”; requiring the report to
    8         include information for a person who was replaced
    9         during the year of the report; providing an effective
   10         date.

   12  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
   13  
   14         Section 1. Section 366.082, Florida Statutes, is created to
   15  read:
   16         366.082 Electric utility; required report.—
   17         (1) Each electric utility shall annually report to the
   18  commission the name, title, and salary of each executive officer
   19  whose salary is $50,000 or more. The term “executive officer”
   20  includes president, secretary, treasurer, and vice president in
   21  charge of a principal business unit, division, or function such
   22  as sales, administration, or finance, and any other person who
   23  performs similar policymaking functions.
   24         (2) If a change was made during the year in any position
   25  reported under subsection (1), the electric utility shall also
   26  report to the commission the name and total remuneration of the
   27  person previously in that position and the date the change in
   28  position was made.
   29         Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 2010.
