A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to agency travel; creating s. 20.058,
3F.S.; requiring agency heads and other specified state
4officials to establish permanent residency in or within 50
5miles of Leon County; creating s. 20.059, F.S.; providing
6job-related travel and reimbursement reporting
7requirements for state agency heads and other specified
8state officials; providing an effective date.

10Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
11
12     Section 1.  Section 20.058, Florida Statutes, is created to
13read:
14     20.058  Residence of state agency heads and other state
15officials.-Every head of a state agency as defined in s.
1620.059(2); every member of the Parole Commission; every member
17of the Florida Public Service Commission; and the executive
18director of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission,
19appointed after July 1, 2010, shall, within 90 days after his or
20her appointment to office, establish permanent residency in or
21within 50 miles of Leon County.
22     Section 2.  Section 20.059, Florida Statutes, is created to
23read:
24     20.059  Travel expenses of state agency heads and other
25state officials; reporting requirements.-
26     (1)  On September 1, 2010, and on a quarterly basis
27thereafter, the head of each state agency listed in subsection
28(2), each member of the Parole Commission, each member of the
29Florida Public Service Commission, and the executive director of
30the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission shall submit a
31report to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the
32House of Representatives regarding any job-related travel
33expenses incurred by, and reimbursed to, the state agency head
34or official during the preceding quarter. The report shall
35provide information for each trip taken, including the purpose
36and justification for the trip; the amount of hotel expenses, if
37any; the distance traveled; the dates of the trip; the method of
38travel and related expenses; and the total amount of travel
39expenses reimbursed by the agency.
40     (2)  For the purposes of this section, the term "state
41agency" includes the:
42     (a)  Agency for Health Care Administration.
43     (b)  Agency for Persons with Disabilities.
44     (c)  Agency for Workforce Innovation.
45     (d)  Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
46     (e)  Department of Children and Family Services.
47     (f)  Department of Community Affairs.
48     (g)  Department of Corrections.
49     (h)  Department of Education.
50     (i)  Department of Elderly Affairs.
51     (j)  Department of Environmental Protection.
52     (k)  Department of Health.
53     (l)  Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
54     (m)  Department of Juvenile Justice.
55     (n)  Department of Law Enforcement.
56     (o)  Department of the Lottery.
57     (p)  Department of Management Services.
58     (q)  Department of Revenue.
59     (r)  Department of State.
60     (s)  Department of Transportation.
61     (t)  Department of Veterans' Affairs.
62     Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2010.
