A bill to be entitled
2An act relating to agency travel; creating s. 20.059,
3F.S.; providing job-related travel and reimbursement
4reporting requirements for state agency heads and other
5specified state officials; providing an effective date.

7Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
8
9     Section 1.  Section 20.059, Florida Statutes, is created to
10read:
11     20.059  Travel expenses of state agency heads and other
12state officials; reporting requirements.-
13     (1)  On September 1, 2010, and on a quarterly basis
14thereafter, the head of each state agency listed in subsection
15(2), each member of the Parole Commission, each member of the
16Florida Public Service Commission, and the executive director of
17the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission shall submit a
18report to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the
19House of Representatives regarding any job-related travel
20expenses incurred by, and reimbursed to, the state agency head
21or official during the preceding quarter. The report shall
22provide information for each trip taken, including the purpose
23and justification for the trip; the amount of hotel expenses, if
24any; the distance traveled; the dates of the trip; the method of
25travel and related expenses; and the total amount of travel
26expenses reimbursed by the agency.
27     (2)  For the purposes of this section, the term "state
28agency" includes the:
29     (a)  Agency for Health Care Administration.
30     (b)  Agency for Persons with Disabilities.
31     (c)  Agency for Workforce Innovation.
32     (d)  Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
33     (e)  Department of Children and Family Services.
34     (f)  Department of Community Affairs.
35     (g)  Department of Corrections.
36     (h)  Department of Education.
37     (i)  Department of Elderly Affairs.
38     (j)  Department of Environmental Protection.
39     (k)  Department of Health.
40     (l)  Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles.
41     (m)  Department of Juvenile Justice.
42     (n)  Department of Law Enforcement.
43     (o)  Department of the Lottery.
44     (p)  Department of Management Services.
45     (q)  Department of Revenue.
46     (r)  Department of State.
47     (s)  Department of Transportation.
48     (t)  Department of Veterans' Affairs.
49     Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 2010.
