expenditure of federal grants funds awarded for the
development of a Florida Health Information Exchange
Infrastructure.

The agency shall issue an Invitation to Negotiate by July 15, 2010, and award the contract to a vendor who can demonstrate the expertise to design and create a state infrastructure for Health Information Exchange through an integrated solution leveraging the ongoing federal investments to ensure meaningful use of health information. The infrastructure must ensure interoperability with the established National Health Information Network using national standards as the first step in implementing a Florida Health Information Exchange. privacy, security and interoperability with existing and future electronic patient medical records.
