       Senator Latvala moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with title amendment)
    2  
    3         Between lines 3110 and 3111
    4  insert:
    5         Section 82. (1) This section may be cited as the “Inform
    6  Families First Act.”
    7         (2) The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is
    8  encouraged to educate the law enforcement community and the
    9  general public about the importance of making certain that
   10  drivers are aware of and use the emergency contact information
   11  program established by the department. The department shall
   12  provide signs for the driver’s license offices to advertise the
   13  program. This voluntary program allows each driver the
   14  opportunity to register the names of up to two individuals as
   15  the person he or she would want to be contacted if he or she is
   16  involved in a crash.
