       Senator Fasano moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment (with directory and title amendments)
    2  
    3         Between lines 2564 and 2565
    4  insert:
    5  
    6         (7)(a) A Any veteran who meets the qualifications in
    7  subparagraphs 1.-5. is exempt from all fees required by this
    8  section:
    9         1. Has been honorably discharged from the Armed Forces;
   10         2. who Has been issued a valid identification card by the
   11  Department of Veterans’ Affairs in accordance with s. 295.17, or
   12  the veteran must provide an official letter from the United
   13  States Department of Veterans Affairs or its predecessor stating
   14  the percentage of the veteran’s service-connected disability and
   15  a copy of the veteran’s honorable discharge at the time of
   16  application for a driver’s license or driver’s license renewal;
   17         3. Has been determined by the United States Department of
   18  Veterans Affairs or its predecessor to have:
   19         a. A 100 percent 100-percent total and permanent service
   20  connected disability rating for compensation;, or
   21         b. Has been determined to have A service-connected total
   22  and permanent disability rating of 100 percent;,
   23         4. Is in receipt of disability retirement pay from any
   24  branch of the United States Armed Services;, and
   25         5. Who Is qualified to obtain a driver’s license under this
   26  chapter is exempt from all fees required by this section.
   27         (b) A veteran who meets the qualifications in subparagraphs
   28  1. and 2. is entitled to a 50 percent reduction in all fees
   29  required by this section:
   30         1. Meets the qualifications in subparagraphs (a)1., 2., 4.,
   31  and 5.; and
   32         2. Has been determined by the United States Department of
   33  Veterans Affairs or its predecessor to have:
   34         a. A total and permanent service-connected disability
   35  rating for compensation of at least 50 percent but less than 100
   36  percent; or
   37         b. A service-connected total and permanent disability
   38  rating of at least 50 percent but less than 100 percent.
