       Senator Wise moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (258560) (with directory and
    2  title amendments)
    3  
    4         Between lines 1871 and 1872
    5  insert:
    6         (t)1. A pilot project for the construction of a nursing
    7  home, including up to 150 beds, which must be:
    8         a. Located in planning subdistricts 4-1, 4-2, or 4-3 of the
    9  Agency for Health Care Administration;
   10         b. Affiliated with an accredited nursing school offering a
   11  bachelor of science and a master of science degree program
   12  within an accredited private university; and
   13         c. Constructed on university property or on property
   14  abutting the university.
   15         2. The nursing home, once licensed, must maintain an
   16  affiliation with the accredited private university and must
   17  employ or otherwise make positions available for the education
   18  and training of nursing students in long-term care or geriatric
   19  nursing. Notwithstanding any moratorium on the construction of
   20  nursing homes or the addition of beds, the project may proceed
   21  with the construction, licensure, and operation of the nursing
   22  home. Construction of the nursing home must begin by May 31,
   23  2012.

   26         And the directory clause is amended as follows:
   27         Delete lines 1787 - 1789
   28  and insert:
   29         Section 56. Paragraph (d) of subsection (1) and paragraph
   30  (m) of subsection (3) of section 408.036, Florida Statutes, are
   31  amended, and paragraph (t) is added to subsection (3) of that
   32  section, to read:
