       Senator Sobel moved the following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment to Amendment (287776) (with title
    2  amendment)

    4         Delete lines 37 - 45
    5  and insert:
    6         Section 3. Section 1001.421, Florida Statutes, is created
    7  to read:
    8         1001.421 Gifts.—Notwithstanding any other provision of law
    9  to the contrary, district school board members and their
   10  relatives, as defined in s. 112.312(21), may not solicit or
   11  accept, directly or indirectly, any gift or anything of value to
   12  the recipient, including a gift, loan, or reward, from any
   13  person, vendor, potential vendor, or other entity doing business
   14  with the school district. The term “gift” has the same meaning
   15  as in s. 112.312(12).
